The bounties brought about by these water springs remain a great story of wealth inherited by the generations and narrated with pride to every one.

In Dhofar, water springs have an eternal loving story. They are various and the monsoon rains are the first source of recharging the aquifer in the mountain and plain as well. Most of the water springs in Dhofar flow constantly, and the most famous of them are Ain Arzat, Ain Jarzeez, Ain Sehanut, Ain Hamran and Ain Tabraq.

In the narrow spaces of the mountains, Ain Al Sehnah of Wilayat Saham wells up and flows to irrigate the villages located by the side of the wadi.

Existence of water means existence of life. Wherever there are water drops, nature and beauty are there. This amazing scene is found in Wadi Bani Khalid, where water streams of the Ain Muql to Ain Al Sarooj, have nourished the needs of the people of the Wilaya over the years.

The charming beauty of this Wadi makes the hearts yearn for it, and its nature calls every one to see and enjoy its landscape.

It never came to our minds that life may exist among these towering mountains and rugged ground...But then, drops of water flow lightly from the mountains cracks, sustaining life in Al Jeela Village in Sur.

In that calm and fascinating village, Ain Al Jeela flows peacefully between aflaj canals to give life to that mountainous area. This spring recharges falaj Al Jeela, which is considered the main water resource in the village.

The beauty of nature, in Wadi Bani Jabir, inhabits the fascinating village which lies in peace in the arms of mountains while water springs changed the area to a marvelous oasis enhancing the  livelihood of its own people.

Another life-giving story is narrated of Ain Al Lathba in the village of Misfat Al Abrieen in Al Hamra where it is considered the lifeline for that ancient village. The access route to that spring takes too long time among farms, and though rocks leading to falaj canals, then to farms spreading green areas in the beautiful historical village. The unforgettable memories of a charming past and most fascinating nature are still engraved in the mind an old man who enjoys in that nature.

Springs usually exist among mountains and rocks. However, dissimilar spring appears in Deba where Ain Khan is located near the sea and is affected by ebb and tide. Some people use it for treatment of skin diseases.

In Medha, the story of life-giving is narrated by the springs of Ain Hajar Bani Hamaid, Ain Samai and Ain Al Sharaki.
